Everyone has a soulmate chocolate, the one bar they reach for every single time. Luckily, Kansas City has a staple for chocolate, which is my favorite. As a Liberty High School alumna, Class of 1992, his chocolates are handcrafted, premium, and rich with flavor.
Established in 2003, Christopher Elbow Chocolates is a must-try for those around the Kansas City area. With other locations in San Francisco, California, and Breckenridge, Colorado, he also has a storefront in the plaza.
According to Yelp, a group of Yelp’s elite squad named the top 50 chocolate spots in the United States and Canada, and No. 3 was Christopher Elbow Chocolates.
His chocolates bring a taste to the table you won’t find anywhere else. His chocolates are life-changing and are truly a gift worth giving. Some say his chocolates are overrated and overpriced, but you are paying for quality rather than quantity.
This Valentine’s season, he follows iconic flavors from around Paris. Some flavors include FLEUR DE SEL CARAMEL: buttery caramel with French sea salt, PASTIS: caramel infused with star anise and fragrant vanilla. For Valentine’s, his flavors are French-influenced to highlight the iconic love locks of Parisian bridges, symbols of lasting connection.
Christopher Elbow Chocolates are the perfect gift for the Valentine’s season, and are truly worth a taste. Visit his locations in the KC area, either in his storefront at 1819 McGee St, Kansas City, MO 64108, or as a vendor in the Made in KC Marketplace at 306 W 47th St, Kansas City, MO 64112.
