Kora Smith, Editor-in-Chief
Senior Kora Smith is excited to begin her third year with The Bell as Editor-In-Chief. Smith joined the team in her sophomore year, she quickly developed a passion and talent for journalism. As the Editor-in-Chief, her job is to lead the class every day, as well as edit all of the staff’s stories and designs.
“This class gives students an opportunity to build friendships and I get to better my leadership skills,” Smith said.
Outside of the paper, Smith is involved in the National Honor Society, as well as participating in Early College through Maple Woods Community College, where she has been studying since her junior year.
“I like that my schedule is more flexible and I get out of school earlier. I’m hoping to get my associate’s degree when I graduate from high school,” Smith said.
When she’s not at school, Smith spends her time at Luzicka Ballet, where she spends around 12 hours a week perfecting her skills. Smith has been doing ballet since she was three.
