Cloverton Takes the Stage

“Take me into the beautiful where the faces glow/ with the lights that never dim,” Many would recognize these lyrics from the widely known song. Sung by, the same artists who recently performed here in Liberty. On November 23, the popular Christian band, Cloverton, took the stage in the Liberty North Fieldhouse.

The concert was put together by Liberty North’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Cloverton was contacted by a LNHS teacher who knew the band.

“One of our FCA advisors actually went to college with one of the band members at K State, so she contacted him,” North FCA counsel member Katelyn Brown said. “They are a contemporary Christian band.”

This concert was no subpar mediocre performance by a band nobody’s heard of. Liberty North held a one of a kind concert that could stand up with any concert held at the Sprint Center.

Cloverton played some of their most popular songs.

“[They’re] most famous for their songs are Take me into the Beautiful and Hallelujah Christmas,” Brown said. “Hallelujah Christmas was actually number one on iTunes for several months last holiday season.”

The concert was put on by Liberty North’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Because the concert was held at the school, tickets were a cheap $5 sold at the door or by FCA members prior to the concert. The doors opened at six and students and adults from around the Liberty and Kansas City area flocked in to sing the night away.

Liberty High School’s FCA was given the opportunity to help sell tickets or work the concert. Although no one from Liberty stepped up, LHS students were still able to attend a unique concert. Sadly, some students could not make it to the concert, but all wish they could have gone.

“I couldn’t go to the concert because of the musical,” freshman Casidy Meeks said. “It’s a bummer because one of my friends went and said it was really awesome.

However, all who went said that the concert was a great success.
