“I'm either going to be a clinical psychologist or work in a publishing company. Hopefully, I‘ll be able to go to France one day and maybe do a TED talk or write a book,” Cotton explains.

Cotton enjoys the community and the work that everyone puts into the newspaper. She really enjoys the whole process of the newspaper being made.

“The whole process of getting the paper done is really exciting. It gives me a rush of adrenaline whenever I have to do interviews or write stories,” Cotton said.

Cotton first learned about newspaper in eighth grade, and she said she really wanted to learn how to talk to others, so she forced herself to do it. The people who inspire her most are some of her friends she found through newspaper,

“Jenna Shores and Victorya Wilkinson have really helped me find a community here and they always find joy, instead of stress,” Cotton says.
