Freshman Layton Smith is a reporter for The Bell newspaper. Smith joined newspaper to bond with her sister, Senior Kora Smith. L. Smith has a five-year-old dog named Toby who has the same birthday as her, which is May 17. She participates in swimming on teams inside and outside of the school.

  “I started swimming lessons at five years old. I’m on the Clayview Kahunas team outside of the school season. My favorite stroke is freestyle,” L. Smith said.
