Senior Tommy Roseman takes advantage of the different opportunities Liberty High school has to offer. Roseman is apart of classes and clubs that relate to what he really enjoys, which is writing and band.
“I do creative writing club, I am in marching band and I’m on the newspaper staff,” senior Tommy Roseman said.
Getting to know new people is one of his favorite parts about high school.
“[One of my favorite parts about high school is] making new friends with people I did not think I would be friends with,” Roseman said.
High school has made Roseman realize that it is important to be yourself.
“My advice to underclassmen is to not take yourself too seriously. Obviously grades are important, but you need to realize that what other people think of you isn't everything. Just be yourself, and find people who like you for yourself,” Roseman said.
In his free time he likes to do different activities,
“I like to write fiction, mostly, I like to draw and I like to read,” Roseman said. “What I like most about writing is that I get to create something that is entirely mine,”
Roseman enjoys writing and started writing at a young age.
“I started writing in 3rd grade and have been writing short stories ever since. Recently I've found it hard to finish what I start, and that's why I'm excited about creative writing club this year, to help others and myself get into the groove a bit,” Roseman said.
Creative writing club is a place where writers can go to work on their writing skills and become better writers.
“Creative Writing club is an environment to share your work to have it critiqued and to critique others. Every other week we plan to talk about different things that are important to writing, like being able to create unique characters and settings, for example,” Roseman said.
