Alex Wilson, Design Editor
Hello, my name is Alex Wilson and I am a senior and the design editor for the 2015-2016 school year. I have been apart of Liberty High School’s newspaper staff since I was a sophomore. I began as a reporter like everyone else but decided to take a leadership position in my junior year, this eventually led to me becoming the design editor. My duties this year are to lead and guide our section editors through every issue, review the issue for any mistakes and work on many other design aspects of our newspaper. This year I will also design the spotlight pages and review the first draft of spotlight stories.
I really enjoyed writing long before my sophomore year, as long as I can remember my favorite class in school was always comm. arts. I carried this passion to Junior High where I joined the newspaper staff there and was in charge of my own section. I enjoy many more classes than just English and journalism, I have enjoyed most classes I have enrolled in throughout my secondary schooling. Zoology, intro to web design and world history have been my favorite classes besides newspaper at Liberty High School.
Outside of school I do many different things. I mainly work on various projects that range from housework to building sheds with my dad. Right now I want to learn how to play the guitar and will be taking most of my free time this year.
This will be my final year at Liberty High School and I look forward to working on the newspaper this year and learning from my other classes. I have enjoyed working on the newspaper this past few years and I recommend it to any student who enjoys journalism.
