Junior Alex Klein is a reporter on Newspaper staff this year. Klein enjoys going to dirt races
and fixing up his car.
“I enjoy finding out what I can do to my engine,” Klein said.
Kleins is very talented, he is known to play the drums.
“I can play drums and I don’t play with sheet music. I like going into it by hearing it,” Klein said,
“In 7th grade my dad bought a drum set. I started getting into it and bought my own kit. Since
then I’ve played off and on.”
Like Klein's dad was for drums, everyone has an inspiration for whatever they do, and Klein was
no different for Newspaper.
“I chose Newspaper because the last Editor and Chief, Sidney Lowry, really introduced me to it
and I someday hope that my writing will be half as good as hers.” Klein said, “She was my
sister's friend so I went on journalism last year and loved it. Then Oyler offered me a position
and I gladly accepted.”
Newspaper was the journalism class that he decided on because of the reasons he likes it so
much.
“I like being able to see both sides of the story and Newspaper allows you to see both sides
without impacting your beliefs,” Klein said, “It’s really easy to be neutral about the subject when
you can see both sides and realize they might not be as different as you thought.”
Klein thinks Newspaper has many values that can help with his future.
“I hope that it will apply good writing skills, and it will always be a good choice for college,”
Klein said.
Klein is ready for the tasks at hand and is happy to be a part of the community.
